ca gift show '05
It seemed ages ago, when Joe suggested to Mel,
"Let's take your designs to a trade show.'
we barely had 15 designs. We bought Maximus, our
studio tabletop letterpress 4 days prior to the
show. We worked all night and day, cranking out
prototypes, packaging, sampling, and making all
of our cards to bring to a trade show we had never
been before. We loaded up our rented van with
our home furniture, drove to la and did our first
trade show. We had a blast! JOY was picked up
by 20 new retailers and we built amazing friendships
with now mel's best buddies, Tricia from Paperchatter
and Cindy Ng from Finger
